The Royal Hotel Featherston is a stunningly beautiful place with nice staff. They offer a variety of meals for breakfast, including breads and potato. The location is right by the train station and Fell railway museum, with a great restaurant below and a really great bakery. It's also right in the town center.

The formal living room at The Royal Hotel Featherston is cozy and inviting, with a chesterfield sofa that practically begs you to snuggle up and dive into a good book. As a guest with children, I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to unwind in such a comfortable space.
Subjectively, I felt that the lighting in the formal living room could have been brighter. Others may still enjoy the cozy ambiance it creates, though.

The hotel restoration was a work in progress, but our olde world styled room with ensuite was jaw-droppingly beautiful. Safe parking for cars and bikes. The new owners were super welcoming and attentive. The restaurant served mind-blowing food and the service was top-notch. The themed room had an amazing steampunk vibe with lush furnishings and period-piece curios. The delicious pub fare was perfectly executed, including a rare steak done just right. Great Victoriana/Steampunk theme throughout. Free wi-fi, free parking, bar/lounge area, restaurant, flat-screen TV.

I absolutely adored the beautiful, old-fashioned decor of The Royal Hotel. The grand chandeliers and intricate detailing created a truly charming atmosphere. I especially appreciated the accessibility for senior people, with spacious corridors and easy-to-navigate areas. It made me feel comfortable and at ease during my stay.
I do wish the children working there could have been a bit more attentive and helpful. Just a little more assistance would have made my vacation even better.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful interior of the Royal Hotel Featherston - Boutique. The room and en suite decor were superb, and the bed was the best I've ever slept on. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would highly recommend this hotel for its unique charm and comfortable accommodations. I had a great stay and would gladly return in the future.

Gorgeous decor throughout, from entrance to bar to rooms. Room 10 exceptional. Extra long claw foot tub, comfortable bed, cappuccino mix. Burger came with large portion of fries. A perfect place before heading to Remutaka trail!

The formal living room at The Royal Hotel Featherston is absolutely charming. Picture this - me, lounging on the cozy chesterfield sofa, wrapped in a soft blanket, immersed in a captivating book. It felt like my own little getaway within the hotel!
Some might not enjoy the formal setting of the living room, but hey, to each their own!

The private outdoor balcony was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary with fine wine and dancing. We even had a friendly game of pool on the Snoka table. The atmosphere was fantastic, and we felt like we were in our own little world.
For dads, it would be great to have more activities for our children.

The hotel had a nice steampunk-themed look, which added a unique touch to the decor. The shared bathroom was well-designed and had beautiful tiles. The beds were comfortable, allowing for a passable night's sleep.
Upon arrival, we found all the doors locked and had to wait outside. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive during check-in, and we were given the wrong room.
